Job Summary

The Senior Marketing Officer at Kluch Trading PLC is responsible for strengthening the company’s position in the Ethiopian market by promoting its products, developing new customers, identifying profitable business opportunities, and supporting sales growth.

The officer will play an important role in connecting Kluch Trading PLC with customers, distributors, contractors, institutions, and business partners while continuously monitoring market demand, competitors, and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies for Kluch Trading PLC’s products and services.
• Identify and approach new customers, companies, institutions, contractors, and business partners.
• Conduct market research to identify new products, markets, customer needs, and business opportunities.
• Work closely with the sales team to generate leads and convert opportunities into actual sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Visit customers and business locations regularly to understand market demand and promote company products.
• Monitor competitors, market prices, customer preferences, and industry trends.
• Develop and coordinate promotional activities, product presentations, exhibitions, social media campaigns, and other marketing initiatives.
• Support the introduction and marketing of new imported products and develop appropriate market-entry strategies.
• Develop customer and market databases and maintain accurate records of leads and business opportunities.
• Follow up with major potential customers and ensure timely communication and professional customer service.
• Guide and supervise junior marketing staff and ensure they achieve their assigned targets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly marketing reports covering activities, leads, customer feedback, sales opportunities, and market developments.
• Provide management with practical recommendations to increase sales, expand market share, and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years or more of relevant marketing experience, preferably in trading, import/export, distribution, or a similar commercial business.
• Strong knowledge of the Ethiopian business and market environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, networking, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.
• Good knowledge of digital marketing and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently, lead a team, and achieve measurable targets.
