Senior HR Officer

The Senior HR Officer oversees day-to-day human resources operations, administration, recruitment, and employee relations. Reporting to management, the role ensures full compliance with Ethiopian labor laws, implements organizational HR policies, manages payroll processing, and provides strategic HR advisory support to foster a high-performance work culture.

• HR Operations & Administration: Manage complex HR administration, maintain secure personnel records, process accurate payroll, and ensure legal compliance and confidentiality.

• Recruitment & Staffing: Lead full-cycle recruitment processes for management and non-management roles, conduct interviews, and build reliable talent pipelines.

• Employee Relations & Performance Management: Handle disciplinary procedures, resolve employee relations issues, and guide performance management initiatives.

• Policy Compliance & Advisory: Develop, update, and enforce HR policies aligned with labor laws, and advise management on employment equity, labor relations, and staff development.

• Reporting & Analysis: Track strategic HR metrics, analyze staffing needs, and prepare comprehensive operational reports.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

• Work Experience: 2 to 4 years of progressive professional experience in HR roles, with prior experience in a senior or supervisory capacity (prior background in food manufacturing is highly advantageous).

• Technical Knowledge: Strong command of HR frameworks, local labor laws, compliance standards, and HR Information Systems (HRIS/HRMIS).
