Cooler Technician

Job Summary

The Cold Drink Equipment (CDE) Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing coolers and cold drink equipment. The role ensures optimal equipment performance, safety, and reliability while minimizing operational downtime to support sales, distribution, and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Execute routine preventive maintenance and rapid emergency repairs on cold drink equipment and coolers; diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Installation & Setup: Install and calibrate new cold drink coolers and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and operational guidelines.
• Inspection & Safety Compliance: Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure safety standards are met; document and report any compliance or safety hazards promptly.
• Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment performance status.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with logistics, sales, and distribution teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting business operations, and provide technical guidance as needed.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: Diploma in Electricity, Electrical Technology, Electronics, General Mechanics, or a related technical field (formal training or certification in refrigeration systems is a strong advantage).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of overall technician experience, with at least 1 year dedicated to refrigeration or AC maintenance, assembly, or fabrication (preferably within a bottling or manufacturing environment).

• Strong technical expertise in electrical and refrigeration systems, cooler mechanics, and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills and high accuracy in documentation and report writing.
