Store Keeper - Automotive

Job Summary

The Storekeeper manages the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of automotive spare parts and inventory items. Operating within a busy workshop or dealership environment, the role maintains rigorous inventory control, optimizes warehouse storage, and safeguards stock against loss, damage, or deterioration.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving & Issuing Stock: Inspect, record, store, and issue spare parts and lubricants to technicians in strict compliance with company procedures and documentation standards.
• Inventory Control & Auditing: Conduct regular cycle counts, manage physical stocktaking, reconcile system records, and report discrepancies, damages, or spoilage promptly.
• Warehouse Optimization: Maintain organized storage, implement location coding and shelving systems, and ensure proper stock classification to minimize handling costs.
• Stock Replenishment & Reporting: Monitor minimum stock levels, initiate purchase requests for fast-moving items, and prepare comprehensive inventory movement and obsolescence reports.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: Higher Diploma or Level III certificate in Automotive Technology or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of proven work experience as a Storekeeper (prior experience in dealerships with world-class automotive brands represents an advantage).

Required Skills & Competencies

• Sound knowledge of workshop tools, automotive equipment, vehicle oils, and lubricants.
• Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
