- Ensure proper sorting, handling, and laundering of different fabric types to maintain hygiene and fabric quality.
- Monitor and maintain laundry equipment, ensuring timely repairs and servicing.
- Implement and enforce infection control and safety protocols in compliance with hospital standards and health regulations.
- Supervise laundry staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and providing training on proper procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ensure staff compliance with hospital policies, hygiene standards, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve productivity.
- Ensure all hospital laundry is processed and sanitized according to infection control standards.
- Monitor and improve laundry service efficiency while minimizing waste and rewash rates.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, including inventory, equipment maintenance, and supply usage.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, hospital policies, and industry best practices.
- Manage inventory of laundry detergents, chemicals, linens, and uniforms, ensuring adequate supply levels.
- Work within the allocated budget for laundry operations, optimizing resources and reducing costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of laundry-related items and negotiate cost-effective solutions.
- Work closely with housekeeping, infection control, and hospital administration to align laundry services with hospital needs.
- Address laundry-related concerns from hospital departments and ensure timely resolutions.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss operational updates and improvements.
