- Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Sorting and Processing:
- Sort dirty linens and garments by fabric type, color, and contamination level.
- Pre-treat heavily soiled or stained items before washing.
- Fold, press, and distribute clean laundry to designated hospital departments.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure all linens and garments meet cleanliness and hospital hygiene standards.
- Follow hospital policies and infection control guidelines for handling contaminated laundry.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Inventory & Record-Keeping:
- Monitor detergent, bleach, and other chemical levels; report when supplies need replenishing.
- Keep accurate records of laundry loads processed daily.
