Cost & Inventory Management

Role Summary

EASE Engineering PLC is looking for a Cost & Inventory Management to oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation and control, fixed asset management, and project cost reporting. The role will ensure accurate financial data, strong internal controls, and effective use of ERP systems to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage product costing, landed cost calculations, COGS, cost variances, and project cost analysis.
• Lead inventory counts and ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation with the General Ledger.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, write-offs, obsolete stock, and inventory adjustments.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset tagging, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and physical verification.
• Monitor CAPEX capitalization and reconcile fixed asset records with financial statements.
• Prepare inventory, costing, project cost, and fixed asset reports for management.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and internal/external audits.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable Ethiopian tax regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and ERP automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, inventory management, fixed assets, or related areas.
• Experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or project-based organizations is preferred.
• Strong ERP experience; Odoo experience is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Ethiopian tax regulations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Power BI is an advantage.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, or similar professional certification is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
