Technician Mechanical

Job Summary

The Technician Mechanical is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of plant maintenance activities, focusing on planned maintenance, robust breakdown troubleshooting, and waste reduction. Operating in Kilinto, the role ensures adherence to food safety (HACCP) and safety standards (LOTO), supports Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and collaborates closely with operations to maximize equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all planned, corrective, and overhaul maintenance activities safely, on-time-in-full (OTIF), and according to quality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out Try Out (LOTO) and Minor Intervention Procedures.
• Perform maintenance in compliance with food safety standards (HACCP).
• Spot and rectify equipment performance issues during zonal tours and attend production shift handover meetings.
• Coach, train, and support operators on Autonomous Maintenance (AM), CILT execution audits, and machine fine-tuning.
• Execute maintenance tasks beyond operator scope, informing the duty engineer for stops exceeding 15 minutes.
• Identify and prepare lists of critical, wearing, and tearing spare parts.
• Execute work orders and register data within computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Organize the workplace, documentation, and toolboxes according to 5S standards.
• Apply structured fault-finding procedures, participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA / 5-Why), and utilize relevant digital tools.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Vocational Education.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of working experience in plant maintenance.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and very good technical machine knowledge.
• Experience in TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, and CMMS / Maximo platforms.
