Teaching Assistant

The Teaching Assistant helps lead teachers in educating students of various ages and educational needs. The role involves supporting individual or small groups of students who need assistance absorbing lesson material, helping prepare lesson plans, assisting with administrative record-keeping, and ensuring safe, well-organized classroom environments.

• Help teachers prepare lesson plans and set up necessary materials for classes (e.g., projectors, chemistry sets).
• Track student attendance and class schedules.
• Review material taught in class with individual students experiencing learning challenges.
• Work with smaller groups of students for remedial teaching or reinforcing the learning process.
• Escort and supervise students on field trips and school activities.
• Make sure classrooms are safe and tidy before classes start.
• Assist teachers with tasks like grading assignments and informing parents of their children’s progress.
• Help students adjust, learn, and socialize, and report possible behavioral issues to teachers.

• Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Education from a recognized college or university.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Teacher or Teaching Assistant.

• Good spoken and written English language skills.
• Familiarity with school administrative tasks and learning methods.
• Good communication and organizational teamwork skills.
• Cool-tempered, positive attitude, with a firm but kind personality.
• A love for teaching and the ability to build trusting relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
• Core skills in decision-making, communication, attention to detail, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
