Supply Chain Director

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Director provides end-to-end strategic and operational leadership for the entire supply chain function, encompassing strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, customs clearance, inventory management, and ERP discipline. The role ensures that all goods and services are sourced, cleared, and delivered efficiently on time, within approved budgets, and in full regulatory and corporate compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply Chain Strategy & Governance: Develop and execute integrated supply chain and procurement strategies aligned with business targets, cost-reduction goals, and financial workflows.
• Team Leadership & Accountability: Direct full supply chain and logistics teams, set performance KPIs, establish rigorous work plans, and hold staff accountable for deliverables and operational execution.
• Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Manage high-value procurement lifecycles from RFI/RFP through contract negotiation, vendor qualification, and purchase order tracking in ERP (Dynamics 365).
• Traffic, Logistics & International Trade: Direct inbound/outbound transport, manage relationships with freight forwarders and 3PLs, and optimize international shipping routes and freight costs.
• Customs Clearance & Compliance: Serve as the senior accountable owner for import/export controls, customs clearance, HS classifications, duty exemptions, and regulatory dispute resolution.
• Inventory & Vendor Quality: Partner with warehouse and technical teams to optimize inventory levels (ABC/EOQ principles), conduct supplier performance evaluations, and enforce quality standards.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree and certifications like CSCP or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable).
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, including at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role.

• Advanced expertise in strategic sourcing, international trade, Incoterms, and complex customs clearance procedures.
• Strong financial acumen, budget oversight, risk management, and analytical capability.
• Executive-level communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
