Senior Import And Export Officer

Job Summary

The Senior Import and Export Officer is responsible for managing the organization's import and export activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, customs requirements, international trade practices, and internal policies.

The position ensures the smooth and timely movement of goods across borders, proper preparation and verification of trade and shipping documents, and effective coordination with suppliers, customers, banks, customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport providers, and other relevant stakeholders.

The Senior Officer also provides technical guidance to junior staff and supports management in improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance of the organization's international trade operations.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following or a related field: Import and Export Management, International Trade, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, International Business, Economics, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, or Other relevant fields.

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in import/export, international trade, logistics, customs, or supply-chain operations.
• Experience in handling import/export documentation and customs clearance is required.
• Experience coordinating with banks, customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping companies, and international suppliers/customers is highly desirable.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
