Medical Laboratory Quality Control Officer

Job Summary

Access Bio Ethiopia is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Quality Control Officer to oversee quality control documentation, manage incoming, in-process, and post-production QC, and support regulatory audits. The role involves blood handling and dilution for the QC process, device calibration, data reporting, and ensuring all production work aligns strictly with Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Control QC documentation and ensure production work matches established standards.
• Carry out incoming QC, in-process QC, and post-production QC.
• Supervise QC personnel and maintain close contact with the QA/RA officer.
• Support external audits conducted by bodies such as EFDA, ISO, and WHO based on QMS.
• Handle blood sample preparation, dilution, and international shipping logistics for QC processes.
• Perform calibration on devices used in production and QC, and update/report blood, calibrator, and retain room data monthly.

Qualifications

• Education: Medical Laboratory Degree (with Medical Laboratory Technology Degree Certificate and a valid Professional License).
• Experience: Over 3 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills

• Technical Skills: Computer literacy (Word, Excel), device calibration, blood handling, and QMS auditing support.
