Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all import and export activities to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.
- Monitor end-to-end shipment processes including documentation, customs clearance, and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and internal policies.
- Coordinate with banks for import/export-related transactions including L/C, CAD, and TT processes.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Negotiate freight rates, service terms, and contract renewals with external partners.
- Track shipments and resolve operational issues such as delays, clearance problems, or delivery disruptions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including procurement, finance, and warehouse teams.
- Maintain import/export records and prepare operational reports for management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
