Junior Researcher (AI/ML Engineer)

Qualifications and Proficiency:

BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence (AI) from a recognized university with zero (0) years of work experience; Minimum CGPA of 3.00 for male and 2.75 for female applicants

Programming & AI Basics: Demonstrable foundational knowledge in relevant programming languages (such as Python or R) and familiarity with common data science/ML frameworks (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).

Operating System: Willingness to learn and basic ability to navigate and work in a Linux/Unix command-line environment (training will be provided for advanced HPC/Linux workflows).

Interest: A strong, proven motivation to pursue a career in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and biomedical data research.

Salary:  As per the scale of the institution

Terms of employment: One-year contract period on a full-time employment basis with possibility of extension

Duty station: Addis Ababa
