Junior Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend applications and services using Node.js and TypeScript.

Build secure, scalable, and well-structured RESTful APIs.

Work with Express.js or NestJS to develop backend systems.

Design, manage, and query relational databases using PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Use Prisma ORM for database modeling, migrations, and data access.

Implement user authentication and role-based authorization using JWT.

Integrate backend services with frontend applications and third-party systems.

Prepare and maintain API documentation using Swagger or OpenAPI.

Use Redis for caching, session management, or other application needs.

Troubleshoot application errors and improve system performance.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and technical documentation.

Use Git for version control and team collaboration.

Required Technical Skills

Applicants should have practical knowledge of the following:

Node.js

TypeScript

Express.js or NestJS

PostgreSQL or MySQL

Prisma ORM

RESTful API development

JWT authentication and authorization

Git and version-control workflows

Basic knowledge of Docker

Basic understanding of Swagger or OpenAPI documentation

Redis

Nice-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ

Basic understanding of unit testing using Jest

Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment practices

Familiarity with cloud deployment and hosting environments

Basic understanding of database optimization and application security

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Recent graduates and self-taught developers with strong practical skills are encouraged to apply.

Previous internship, freelance, academic, or personal project experience in backend development is advantageous.

Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
