Junior Assembly Technician (Electric two or three wheeler)

Dodai Manufacturing Plc (Dodai), is a recently incorporated organization launched in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on August 01, 2023. Dodai is a fast growing organization with a mission of making e-mobility accessible to everyone in Africa through its innovative products and services. Dodai plans to provide brand new electric two wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa and plans to expand to major regional cities in Ethiopia by the end of 2026. It’s thus looking to engage dynamic Ethiopian talent to ensure the achievement of its goals.Purpose of the Position

The Junior Assembly Technician for Dodai will be part of the manufacturing team and will be responsible for the assembly of electric two wheelers (E2W) in an efficient manner.S/he will be responsible to construct the small parts and components that make up the E2W to create a new product according to the specifications provided by the Factory Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.
• Perform high precision calibration and advanced adjustments using testing instruments.
• Develop assembly and test procedures to promote production of quality products.
• Ensure optimal performance and longevity of assembly equipment by conducting regular maintenance and servicing, while closely monitoring all equipment functionality and promptly reporting any issues or substandard conditions to the supervisor.
• Ensure all registration documents of E2W are maintained according to standard operating procedures.
• Perform equipment assembly according to engineering drawings.
• Perform cleaning of all parts as per established cleaning procedures.
• Provide support for material handling and material movement activities with the warehouse team.
• Work together with the quality assurance team to detect and resolve any product defects or issues during the assembly process, conduct testing on products for performance evaluation, and document the outcomes.
• Perform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high quality products.
• Perform installation, rework, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting products as required.
• Receive, unload, unpack and transfer materials to different work stations.
• Assist supervisor during emergency situations such as fire, natural disasters etc.
• Support the implementation of health and safety initiatives in the manufacturing facility to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Provide input and feedback on product design and assembly procedures to improve overall product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in continuous training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge related to electric two-wheeler assembly
• Assist in the development and implementation of new assembly processes and techniques to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor
