Junior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support the organization’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will assist with recording financial transactions, preparing financial documents, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the accounting team in ensuring proper financial control and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting systems.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment requests, and other financial documents.
• Assist in bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monitoring expenses, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Support the preparation of budgets and financial schedules as required.
• Ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Assist senior accounting staff with audits and other financial reviews.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting and Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other accounting-related software.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirement

• Having a valid driving license is highly preferred.

Note: Preference will be given to candidates with higher educational qualifications and better work experience.
