Grants Senior Auditor

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Business Administration.

Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline is highly desirable.

Professional Certification

One or more of the following professional certifications is strongly preferred:

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Chartered Accountant (CA)

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in internal auditing, external auditing, compliance, or financial assurance.

At least 3 years of experience auditing externally funded projects, grants, research institutions, international NGOs, universities, public health organizations, or development programs.

Demonstrated experience applying risk-based auditing methodologies.

Strong knowledge of funder compliance requirements and grant management practices.

Experience working with ERP systems, accounting software, and audit analytics tools.

Experience in health research, public health, biomedical research, or academic institutions is an advantage.

NB: Performs other related duties and tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Duty station: Addis Ababa

Number required: 1  (One)

Terms of employment:  one-year contract period with full-time employment basis, with possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability

Salary:  As per the scale of the institution
