💼 Job Purpose

The Junior Customer Service Officer role is an entry‑level position designed to prepare candidates for promotion to Customer Service Officer after completing a structured six‑month rotational training program across operational and model branches.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Account Operations: Attend to customers, open accounts, process passbooks/cheque books, and manage registers.
• Sales & Business Development: Promote and sell bank products and services, recruit new customers, and generate sales leads.
• Relationship & Agent Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, agents, and branch clients.
• Transaction Processing & Back‑Office Support: Handle cheque deposits, file documents, and assist Customer Service Officer I.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile daily ATM, POS, and merchant transactions; balance branch books; settle suspense accounts.
• Compliance & Resource Mobilization: Adhere to NBE directives and branch procedures while supporting resource mobilization.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance, or related fields.
• Experience: No prior experience required (entry‑level).
• Core Competencies:
  • Basic understanding of banking operations
  • Strong customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Presentable appearance and excellent teamwork abilities
