Branch Manager

Qualification:

BA Degree or MBA in  Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance , or a related field from a recognized higher education institution.

Experience:

Minimum  4 years (BA)  or  3 years (MBA)  of relevant work experience, preferably in a  Microfinance Institution or Banking and Insurance Industry .

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the overall branch operations.

Lead loan processing, portfolio management, and saving mobilization activities.

Ensure efficient branch performance and achievement of business targets.

Approve loans and branch payments within delegated authority.

Ensure timely loan disbursement, collection, and portfolio quality.

Supervise daily financial transactions and maintain proper cash control.

Prepare and submit periodic operational and financial reports.

Build strong relationships with customers, communities, and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and NBE regulations.

Lead, coach, and evaluate branch staff to improve performance and teamwork.

Required Skills:

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

Sound knowledge of credit operations, savings mobilization, and branch management.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.

Experience with Core Banking Systems and Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.

High integrity, accountability, and ability to work under pressure.

Knowledge of interest-free financing principles and products.

Duty Station:  Addis Ababa
